Employer Description: The Creek Club is a private, full service beach, golf and country club. Our many amenities include indoor/outdoor tennis and squash courts, Olympic size pool, and a separate beach club with restaurants and bars. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and providing members and guests an enjoyable atmosphere. The Club hosts many large golf outings throughout the season that draw a number of visitors and members alike.
Job Types: Wait Staff at the Main Club and Beach Club
Job Description: Wait Staff positions require that you speak excellent English and include waiting on customers, answering questions, writing down lunch and dinner orders, serving food, setting and clearing tables, set up and breakdown of catered events, and using the Clubs’ Point Of Sale Computer System for placing orders with the kitchen (no cash handled). All of these positions require standing, bending and walking as well as the possible use of chemical cleaning products. You may be assigned to jobs in both the Main Clubhouses and the Beach Clubhouse, Golf Course, other areas at the Club so, please be flexible.

Minimum work commitment of 4.5 months.
Male/Female, Couples, Friend Groups: Approximately 9 Males/6 Females. NO Couples. Friend groups of 2 ONLY.
Wait Staff: $9.25/hour
Work Hours: 40-45+ hours per week. There will be opportunities for overtime during the busier parts of the summer season.
Housing Information: The Creek Club provides housing on property in 1 of 2 areas. The rooms are either double or triple occupancy. All rooms are furnished and include bed linens, A/C-Heat. Many have En-suite bathrooms. Washers and Dryers are free of charge on-site. Housing will cost $35/week and will be deducted from students’ paychecks. There will be a refundable housing deposit of $15o due upon arrival. Uniform/Dress Code: Portions of uniform are provided; the rest may cost up to $50. No piercings permitted, males should have short hair, females with long hair must be worn up as per NY State Health Code.
Area Description: The Club is located in Locust Valley within the town of Oyster Bay. Oyster Bay is a hamlet located on the Eastern Shores of Long Island, NY. The Oyster Bay area is best-known as the site of Theodore Roosevelt’s beloved Sagamore Hill Estate, now a National Park, but there are many other attractions as well; The Waterfront Center, Planting Fields Arboretum, Baily’s Arboretum, Beekman Beach, Raynham Hall Museum, Art Exhibits, Youngs’ Memorial Cemetery and Theodore Roosevelt Park. You will be living very close to the beach in a beautiful vacation area, and are a quick train ride away from New York City.
